History

    The Aleikith family had been successfully ruling Nyderran for centuries before disquiet within the realm arose. A few of the noble families became power-hungry; they wanted more land, more people, more resources. They felt that the Aleikith family had been ruling over the land for far too long, and that something needed to be done about it. However, the royal family still had many loyal followers, and when it came time for war they were well prepared. However, the reigning monarch knew that if war carried on Nyderran would be stomped into dust, and there would be nothing left to rule. He called for a peace treaty, and the two of the strongest rebel families (Vakath and Aliliv) came forward to sign.
   
    They established a new map of the area; cutting Nyderran into thirds and creating three Kingdoms. After the peace treaty was worked out, Aleikith withdrew from the others and the ruling family vowed to not meddle in the affairs of the rest of Nyderran. Aleikith would live for itself and remain neutral if something should happen with the other Kingdoms. For the last hundred years, the Aleikith Kingdom has kept to that vow, even as Vakath and Aliliv warred against each other. They both pushed at each others borders, wanting more land and resources and not willing to settle for anything less than everything. The wars stopped occasionally, but never for long and the two Kingdoms are definitely considered rivals. Currently, they are at a standstill, but anything could cause tensions to spike again, and war is always on the horizon.
