Friction is an AU Medieval/Renaissance influenced roleplay made by both Administrators Setsa and Mar.
The landmass they reside on is called Nydderan. The roleplay has other lands that are far off but will only be mentioned within the rp and not focused on these lands.
The Year is 1373 though the year has little to do with our Earth's history.
Nydderan
Cartographic was done by Setsa in an original map and then painted according to the cartographic by Mar.

Nydderan is the continent in which Aleikith(initially), Vakath and Aliliv have claimed. The lands are known to have a dense forest region and a mountain range with many, many mountains. It looks small due to the map but it takes at least 3 weeks to go from one end of the continent to the other on constant horseback. (Thus why we accept liquid time as Friction Roleplay timeline.) Note that the castles are situated close enough to reach each other faster which is not entirely the best situation but, that's where they are! Nydderan has one particular river that goes straight through the continent from the Northern continent Astrada in which the Vikings come from. The River is characteristically called the Nydderan River and stops shortly after a few waterfalls in the Southern Continent Romast in which has shorter winters and longer summers.
The continent is small enough to have like weather for all regions though the South is a little warmer than the North. Their winters are long stretching from late November till Mid April when the Spring Season comes into play and melts the snow come May. The summers stretch from Mid June till Mid September when the trees change leaf colour for Fall that goes from September till November and cycling through the seasons.
Aleikith
Is the larger in mass though Vakath seems to be hugging it close in mass number. Considered the Founding Kingdom, which it is. Aleikith has laid name to the most resources in the Treaty. Gaining a fair amount of the Forest Region it holds the mother of all mining regions as well. The plains here are also rich in good soils and always has good crops for the winter. Aleikith's palace has an up over the Vakath and Aliliv castles as it stands ontop of a plateau that is only accessible through few roads. Ontop of the plateau the Kingdom's main city strives happily. Aleikith also lays the largest claim to the Nydderan River and its largest lakes and barely has to share it with the other two Kingdoms.
Vakath
Owns the second largest land claim, and obviously has won the latest war although it initially was called off due to agriculture as there weren't enough farmers to cultivate and harvest foodstuffs for the armies. Although it has a fair share of both the Mountain Range and the Forest Region however its plains are all in one particular area in which plants its farmlands closer to the boarders of both Aleikith to the North and Aliliv to the East. Vakath does have to share its part of the river with Aliliv but the Mountain Range comes to a stop here and meets with the forests which instills many small streams that help it have other water sources. There are also few lakes.
Aliliv
Is the smallest of the three Kingdoms, and although it is often at war with Vakath in the West, some would say that the smaller the Kingdom the easier to work with. It barely owns any of the mountain range, though that is alright as its boards engulfs more of the forest region than all three regions and makes a good penny in trade with the Vikings who live deeper into mountainous regions and less closer to the lumber-efficient Forest Region. However, like Vakath its farmlands are scary-close to its rival country and had to stop its latest war due to the need for harvesting foodstuffs for its people.
