It was after another year or so that he decided to name Kensa the crown princess, despite the fact that she had a brother. Her father didn't really care; she had the brain for it, and Adrian just didn't. However, it greatly angered her mother, who turned a cold shoulder to Edan and constantly reminded Adrian that he should be the heir, not his sister. Edan simply ignored it; it wasn't as if anything she said could actually effect the way things turned out. Especially because Kensa turned out to be such a good asset. She continued to sit in on more and more of his meetings, and made such a good connection with everybody she met that it was out of the question to choose another heir. However, when she was around fifteen she began to grow more independent, and more stubborn. She realized that she was different from other girls; she didn't like wearing dresses or sewing and it seemed that she was the only girl who felt the same way about men as she did women. She knew that it didn't make her worse than other people, though, and that she was just as good as anybody else. It was after that realization that she ceased to act any certain way to please other people.
Her father grew concerned about it, but she was still charming and intelligent, so he saw no reason to revoke her position in his line of succession. However, he began to realize that not everybody was as willing to overlook those few differences, and set about doing something that would further endear her to their people. He betrothed her to the son of his Grand Duke, and when she turned twenty they were married. They hadn't met before their wedding day, and they were both in for a big shock. The Duke's son had been expecting a very feminine, proper princess, and she had been expecting somebody less arrogant, and less aggressive than Louis turned out to be. They fit together nicely enough in the beginning of their marriage, but it wasn't before long that they began to butt heads. Kensa always had the upper hand in their arguments, Louis unable to surpass her intelligence. However, he soon became more and more angry about it, and she just couldn't win against him physically; he was a large man, a warrior in truth, and she was minuscule in comparison. Unfortunately, for all the good that her father is, he still has yet to fully comprehend the violence that his son-in-law is capable of, though that's most likely because Kensa has become more reclusive in the past several years. She goes out of her way to avoid her husband, who has been by her father's side since he became a part of the royal family and thus doesn't see her father as much, except on the occasion that he needs her insight on royal matters.

[attr="class","classictitle3"]APPEARANCE
Kensa has a very feminine build, though she is obviously athletic. She's rather tall, coming to five feet and seven inches in height, though she is slim and only weighs about one hundred and twenty-three pounds. She hardly wears dresses, instead choosing to wear tunics and tightly fitting pants that only accents her athletic build. Her complexion is clear, her skin lightly tanned and stretching over lean muscles and sharp features. Her dark hair is long and dark, and helps to bring out her bright blue-green eyes.[break][break][attr="class","classictitle3"]PERSONALITY
Kensa is bright and happy. She lets nothing get in her way and nothing stop her from being who she wants to be. She is playful and adventurous, having learned how to ride horses before she learned to sew, much to the chagrin of her mother. She's definitely an extrovert, and absolutely loves people. She enjoys interacting with them, pleasing them, and also besting them. Which is probably one of the reasons her father chose to allow her to be his heir; when she was young she managed to win an argument against his father's grand duke, while still making him feel good about losing. Despite her differences (she's independent and strong-willed, and also bisexual) she still manages to delight people as much as they delight her. [break][break]
[attr="class","classictitle3"]HISTORY
Kensa was born the first child to Edan and Richeal, the royalty of Aliliv. Her father absolutely adored her (and still does) and refused to do anything that would make her unhappy, even if it meant going against his wife. By the time Kensa was seven, her mother ceased to have anything to do with her; having replaced her with her younger brother and sister, who Richeal felt she could shape and mold into more proper people than Kensa was on her way to becoming. Her father noticed that she'd been ostracized by her mother, and thus included her more and more often in what he was doing. When she was ten, she was sitting in on a meeting with the Grand Duke of Aliliv, where the man and her father had been arguing about the war. Her father wanted to break for a year or so, whereas the Duke wanted to continue. She listened quietly until it seemed like her father was losing the argument, and then piped up with something that would appease them both; if the Grand Duke could win two major battles in six months, then they wouldn't arrange a cease fire, however, if he didn't then they would sign a peace treaty with Aleikith. They both were happy with the idea, and afterwards her father saw her in a new light; she was an intelligent young lady, not just the cute little girl that he thought she was. It was after another year or so that he decided to name Kensa the crown princess, despite the fact that she had a brother.
